You don’t need to master everything—just the right things. For both of these industry-standard tools, I’ll help you focus on what matters most for your design work: clean, efficient, and purposeful workflows.
• SketchUp: We’ll focus on smart modelling habits, components, massing, and detailing, with export strategies for use in renders or diagrams. I’ll help you create tidy, well-structured models that are light, logical, and easy to develop. You’ll also learn how to prepare your scenes for linework export, section cuts, or integration with tools like Photoshop, V-Ray and Enscape.
• AutoCAD: I’ll help you master the interface, layers, line weights, and plotting for architectural documentation, plus shortcuts and commands to boost your speed and clarity. Whether it’s setting up drawing sheets, scaling correctly, or preparing a set of plans, I’ll guide you through creating professional CAD files with confidence. We can also cover dynamic blocks and annotation tools if needed.

About your instructor
I first used SketchUp when I was just nine years old by binge-watching YouTube on dial-up internet—and I’ve used it ever since! Safe to say I've levelled up since then. I’ve taught it at university level for a number of years and combine it with AutoCAD in my professional workflow, where I produce architectural documentation for real-world projects—CCs, CDCs, DAs, the lot.
These tools are part of my daily practice, and I know how much time they can waste—or save—depending on how you use them. I’ve helped students refine their workflow, improve accuracy, and gain confidence in their drawings, whether for uni projects, portfolios, or construction-level documentation.
I’ve taught hundreds of students of all ability levels, and I know that learning is always easier when it’s enjoyable. I’ll meet you where you’re at and help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and the right tools for the job.
